Q. What will my Local Email Club website look like?

A.
If you go to www.emailclubuk.com/demo you will find an example of a Local Email Club site. This is the same design as the site YOU will receive once you set up your Email Club business. Of course your site will be personalised for you, with your area and your personal details on it.

Q. Is the local Email Club website you provide in the package FREE?

A
. Yes. There are no set up costs for this website, and no ongoing hosting or maintenance fees. We provide you with your own Local Email Club website TOTALLY FREE as part of the Local Operators Start Up and Support Package.

Q. How does the Standard Email Club Service work?

A
. We briefly explain how the service works here. Plus, if you look at the example Local Email Club Website at www.emailclubuk.com/demo, more is explained in the ‘FAQ’ and ‘Business Info’ pages on the site.

Q. What will my ‘Area’ be for my Local Email Club?

A.
There are no defined areas as such, since there are many factors which establish the size and number of Email Clubs that can operate in any given ‘area’.

To clarify: - each local Email Club can have as few as 5 or so member ‘businesses’ or as many as 50+. A typical ‘Club’ will usually have between 10 and 20 businesses as members.

The way the Email Club system works is each business has its own ‘Email Club’ for its own customers, which they email exclusive offers and information to. But they also can send special email offers to other people in their local area via your Email Club ‘Network’. This is because each business also can become part of your ‘Central’ Email Club.

This means if you have 10 business clients, and each has 200 unique ‘customers’ who sign up, you have a total of 2000 people in your central Email Club.

So each month you also send a special email ‘Newsletter’ to ALL of your Club Members with offers from all participating businesses.

You can do this because all of your business clients within your Club are running non-competing businesses i.e. you only have one Italian restaurant, one Greek restaurant, one florist, one garden centre, one newsagent, one car dealer and so on.

The deciding factors therefore for the size of your Email Club and how large your ‘area’ is, is dependent not upon geography as such but upon how many non- competing businesses decide to become part of your Email Club.

Q. Can I have more than one Email Club?

A.
Most definitely yes! And this is one of the really exciting things about this business.

You can have more than one Email Club in any given area and in most areas there is room for many different Email Clubs. This is because each club has different businesses in it (i.e. you may have three, five or more Clubs of your own, and each has a different car dealer, Chinese restaurant, fashion shop, florist etc.).

Equally, you may have some businesses who are members of more than one of your Email Clubs (this is OK so long as there are no other ‘competing’ businesses of their type already within any Club they wish to join).

There are no hard and fast rules here.

But the bottom line is, even a small Club with just 20 clients (or two small Clubs with 10 each) can earn you a substantial sum of money for what amounts to very little work.

Q. I live in a rural area. Is this business still suitable?

A.
So long as you have a local population and local businesses your location is not relevant.

It makes no difference whether rural or not, businesses still need to promote themselves. And, to be frank, if distances between customers and business is great as in many rural areas, then an email really is the best way to advertise anyway: i.e. it goes straight into the customer's home!

Q. Why will businesses use my Email Club Service? Why don’t they simply do it themselves?

A.
There are two main reasons for this:

Firstly, most businesses simply don’t know HOW to do it. They don’t know how to set it up in the first place; how to collect their customers data; where to find the software and then how to use it. They don’t know how to structure their emails; what sort of messages to send, how often, in what format and so on.

Secondly, if you know anything at all about running a small business you’ll also know most business owners simply don’t have the TIME to learn about this, and even less time to put it into practice.

These simple facts have been proven time and time again in recent surveys into Email Marketing. In every case the vast majority of small business owners preferred to use outside experts to run their Email Marketing Programs rather than trying to do it themselves.

Q. Once set up, won’t the business then want to take over and do it themselves?

A
. This again has proven not to be the case.

This is partly for the reasons mentioned above i.e. lack of knowledge of what to do, and lack of time and resources. But more importantly, the way the ‘Email Club’ system operates the customer names and email addresses are collected on behalf of YOUR Local Email Club and are therefore not owned by the Client.

If, at a later date, the Client wanted to run their email service themselves, or go to a different service provider, they would have to start again from scratch and collect all the customer data again. And this is not something they will want to undertake.

Overall, experience has shown Clients are more than happy with the service provided and once set up they tend to stick with their original Email Club Service Provider.

Q. Will businesses pay over £1000 for an Email Marketing Service?

A.
Most definitely. And many will pay a great deal more.

The first thing to remember is businesses need to advertise in order to increase their levels of business. Most business owners realise this is a necessary part of running their business.

Secondly, remember that they do not have to pay this all at once. Payment can be spread throughout the year, as with all their other advertising.

The bottom line is, if a business can increase its profits by £10,000 to £20,000 or more each year by using email marketing, they will happily pay just £1000 to £2000 or so in order to achieve this. Especially so with our Email Club Service, since they will not have to do hardly any of the work to actually run the service either - EmailClubUK will be doing it for them.

Q. Isn’t £1000 to £2000 expensive for advertising though?

A.
Not at all. Most businesses who advertise regularly in their local area spend hundreds of pounds every month on UNTARGETED Newspaper Advertising, leafleting and so on. Indeed some spend thousands each month, depending upon the type of business - check out the Newspaper Advertising rates in your area and you’ll see why!

Importantly though, most of the advertising businesses currently do is UNTARGETED and WASTEFUL.

Permission based Email Marketing on the other hand is perfectly ‘Targeted’, and month by month is far cheaper and more effective.

Remember, our Standard Marketing Plans for business Clients work out at between £79 and £165 ‘per month’. This is less than most regular advertisers spend in one week on mostly INEFFECTIVE, unmeasurable ‘Traditional’ advertising methods.

So our Email Club Service is not only more cost effective, but as many Industry Surveys have shown, it also provides far better measurable results for the business using it.

Q. What does the client get for their money i.e. difference between bottom and top price ranges?

A. The price range reflects the number of emails sent per month and whether emails are just for the Client’s own customer list, the monthly club ‘Newsletter’ to all participants, or inclusion in other mailings to non competing local businesses. Plus many other factors; all explained in the Local Operators Package.

Q. What sort of things do businesses send in their emails?

A.
Offers can be anything you like, from simple coupons and special offers, to invitations to events and full info newsletters; whatever the client wants. Most tend to stick to simple coupons, since these are easy to produce, and provide a good measurable response rate.

Q. What sort of businesses are the main targets?

A.
Generally you’re looking at any business with regular ‘walk in’ traffic. As such, Restaurants, Pubs and Clubs are ideal. Also places like Bowling Alleys, Beauty Salons, Theatres, Fashion Shops, Furniture Stores, Car Dealers, Garden Centres, Electrical/Hi-fi/Computer shops, indeed any kind of shop. All of these are suitable targets.

In fact literally any local business who needs to do local advertising is a good target.

Q. Do businesses need to have their own website?

A.
Business clients DO NOT need to be ‘on the web’ themselves. They do not need a website, or even their own email address, since we do all the work for them.

Q. Can people sign up ‘online’?

A.
In general nearly all customers sign up to the ‘Club’ at a Client’s premises. However, we can also provide an information page for each Client on the web, so if any customer prefers to they can sign up online rather than using the sign up cards and boxes in the Client’s premises.

Q. How much commission can I earn as a Zedmail Distributor?

A.
The basic commission payable is dependent upon which marketing plan is sold and your level of involvement (e.g. whether you also do the emailing work too).

For example, the commission level on our £99 per month plan ranges from £360 to £960 per annum PER CLIENT. And on our £165 per month plan, this is from £600 to £1560 per annum PER CLIENT.

Plus there are additional commissions and bonuses available on a number of ‘Additional’ Services and ‘Add-on’ Packages you can provide to you Clients, which could effectively DOUBLE your income.

We believe in rewarding our Distributors for their efforts, hence why commission levels can be as high as 80% on business generated.

Q. Do you supply the counter boxes and other materials?

A.
All ‘Point of Sign-up’ material is supplied by EmailClubUK. This is important because the Counter Boxes and Sign-up Cards etc are effectively the ‘Ambassadors’ for the Local Email Club Service. They are the Public face of EmailClubUK and the Local Email Service you offer to your members. As such it is vitally important they present a professional appearance.

Q. Do you supply marketing materials?

A
. We can supply you with numerous marketing materials including professionally produced colour leaflets, adverts and sales letters.

Many of the materials are also provided in a form that you can put onto a computer to produce ‘personalised’ letters yourself. You can then simply print off what you need as and when required.

Q. What trading name should I use?

A.
As an EmailClubUK Local Operator and ZedMail Distributor you will be running your own independent business and will not be working as an agent or representative of EmailClubUK/ZedMail. As such, you may like to trade under your own company name.

You can trade under whatever name you like, but to avoid confusion, you should NOT use the terms ‘EmailClubUK’ or ‘ZedMail’ in your company name.

We provide details of suitable options in the Local Operators Package.

Q. What other products available from Zed One can I sell?

A.
We will be continuously adding numerous new and different products to our portfolio. These will include other Marketing Services, software, CD ROMS and manuals, plus additional services. Distributors will be able to earn from many of these products.

We will inform you of all new products that become available, and you will also be able to see details on the EmailClubUK Operators Private Website.

Q. Do I need a separate Bank Account for my business?

A.
Once you are up and running it would be a good idea to open a separate bank account for your business. Many banks now offer free banking for a year or two for new start up businesses, so this could prove useful to you.

Q. What about Tax and VAT?

A.
Of course, you’ve got to pay tax on your earnings (more's the pity!), so you’ll need to keep a record of all your income and expenditure to work out your profit at the end of each trading year. If you are unsure how to go about this, speak to an accountant who will advise you what to do.

With VAT, you do not need to register until your turnover reaches £55,000 per annum (at the time of writing). So you may decide it is not worth registering until you approach that point. However, your accountant would be the best person to advise you on such matters.
