Email Facts
The following are a few interesting facts obtained from recent
studies about locally based Email Marketing:
- Businesses have found that the numbers of times a customer
visits their premises has increased dramatically as a direct result of them
instigating a Permission based Email Marketing Program.
- Some businesses have recorded coupon 'click-through' rates
(i.e. the number of recipients who opened the emailed coupons) as high as 87%,
and the number of coupons redeemed at their premises as high as 11%. This is
far higher than coupon redemption rates of any other marketing medium.
- Compared to Direct Mail, Email Marketing has been proven to
be as much as four times as effective and for around 1/10th of the cost.
- Surprisingly, studies have shown that a large number of
regular responders to email offers are aged over 55, demonstrating that this
new marketing medium is used and welcomed by all ages.
- In surveys, a very large number of businesses using Email
marketing have stated they find it far easier, more cost effective and more
profitable to use outside experts to provide their Email marketing, rather than
doing it in-house.
- Businesses using this new medium say that the relationship
with their customers has greatly improved, and in some cases, business has more
than tripled almost as soon as they started using the method.
- When using 'coupons' in your marketing it is easier to track
personalised 'email' coupons that are redeemed, than coupons cut out of
newspapers or from leaflets.
